These terms govern the use of WalletNook. By creating an account you accept them. Please read them before signing up.
What this service is
WalletNook is a free application in an open beta, run privately and without a company behind it. It is offered as-is, without any guarantee of availability, uptime, or continuity, and it may be closed or restricted at any time, with reasonable notice whenever possible.
Registration and your account
Anyone can sign up. Registration is protected by a captcha and by a cap on sign-ups per day, and it requires confirming your email address before you can use the app. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password and for everything that happens under your account. You must be at least 14 years old to register; this service is not directed at children.
Acceptable use
This app is meant for personal or household bookkeeping. Automating sign-ups, attempting to bypass the resource limits described in the app, or using the service to store data unrelated to personal finance is not allowed. Reasonable technical limits are enforced (accounts, categories, transactions, imports, and receipt scans per day) to keep the service usable for everyone.

Nothing in this app — summaries, projections, or budget alerts — constitutes financial, tax, or investment advice. Decisions you make with this information are entirely your own responsibility.
Intellectual property
The software, the WalletNook name, and the logo belong to whoever administers this application. Using the service grants you no licence over them beyond what using the app as intended requires. The other way round, the data you enter stays yours. No licence over it is claimed beyond what is strictly needed to run the service for you: storing it, showing it back to you, backing it up, and exporting it when you ask.
Your data
Your financial data belongs to you. You can export it at any time (Settings → Data) and delete your account permanently whenever you want (Account → Security). Because this is a beta run without dedicated infrastructure, back up anything you cannot afford to lose: while backups exist, this service does not guarantee your data will always be recoverable.
Suspending and closing accounts
An account that breaks these terms may be suspended or closed. Except where the breach calls for acting immediately — an attack on the service, or anything putting other people's data at risk — you will be told first, by email, and given a reasonable chance to export your data before anything is deleted. The other direction needs no reason at all: you can close your own account whenever you like, from Account → Security.
Availability and changes
Being a free beta, this service can change, be interrupted, or be discontinued with little notice. Whenever reasonably possible, advance notice will be given by email to the address on your account.
Limitation of liability
This service is provided free of charge and without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, whoever administers this application is not liable for losses arising from its use, including data loss, service interruptions, or decisions made based on information shown in the app.
If you are a consumer
Nothing in these terms takes away the rights the law gives you as a consumer. The limitation above applies only as far as the law allows, and it never covers wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Because the service is free there is nothing to refund and no subscription to cancel: closing your account is enough. If you have a complaint, writing to the contact address below is the fastest route; you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts with jurisdiction under applicable law — which, if you are a consumer, means the courts where you live.
